Participation
Participation points will come from a few sources:
1. Bringing the play with you to class each day.
We've checked out a convenient paperback version, and the play is also in your ENGLISH 10 text book.
2. Paying attention in class while we read and discuss the play.
The only way to loose these easy points is to engage in "un-high school-like" behavior, such as talking, texting, using electronic, sleeping, etc. while classmates read or during instruction.
3. Read as audibly and clearly as possible - without being prompted by the teacher or classmates - the part that you signed up for in class.
I will remind students of casting at the beginning of each class.
4. Being supportive as classmates are reading - no heckling or criticism. Please trust the teacher to offer direction and support.

Writing Fluencies
As we read The Crucible, our writing fluencies will stem from the content and themes of Arthur Miller's play. If you are out of class, be sure to check the "In Class Today" page for the day's writing assignment.
